Ginger Root and Honey Tea
Helpful Healing for the common cold and to help maintain the throat chakra .
It is simple and has a natural anti inflammatory effect as well as reduces muscle pain, while strengthening your immune system.

Ingredients :
2 cups water
1 tbls honey
1/2 Lemon
1/4 ginger root
About the root -
Slice it thin (or grate the ginger - whichever your preference)
You can also use ginger powder however, fresh root packs more punch.
You can prepare ginger root as nature sent it to us, with skin on, the whole root is good for us.
In a tea pot add 2 cups of water and ginger root.
(The ginger can be put directly into the water which you can then pour through a strainer when done steeping, or put the ginger root into a tea steeper or infuser.)
Bring water with ginger root to a boil , then turn the fire off and remove from heat, cover with small lid or plate, allow to steep for up to five minutes.
Add honey and fresh squeezed lemon juice (Or wedges) to taste.
If you prefer your tea cold, pour over ice.
*Optional ingredients during steeping are cinnamon and star anise*
This tea is also good for maintaining the throat chakra.
*Do not drink if you're allergic to honey, ginger or lemon.*
